Meine Malerei beginnt mit Bewegung, Material und der unmittelbaren Reaktion auf das, was auf der Leinwand entsteht. Selten liegt eine Komposition von Anfang an fest. Schichten, Gesten und Spuren führen den Prozess weiter.My painting begins with movement, materials and an immediate response to what takes shape on the canvas. A composition is rarely predetermined. Layers, gestures and traces guide the work as it develops.
Mich interessiert das Spannungsfeld zwischen Kontrolle und Zufall. Farbe wird aufgetragen, geschichtet, verwischt oder wieder entfernt. Pigmente und Bindemittel verändern die Oberfläche; Eisen oxidiert und entwickelt ein Eigenleben. Was sich dabei zeigt, lässt sich nicht vollständig planen.I am drawn to the tension between control and chance. Paint is applied, layered, smudged or removed. Pigments and binders change the surface; iron oxidises and takes on a life of its own. The result cannot be entirely planned.
Natur, Reiseeindrücke und Erinnerungen sind Ausgangspunkte, keine Vorgaben für eine gegenständliche Darstellung. Farbe trägt Atmosphäre, Temperatur und Bewegung. Ein Werk gewinnt für mich dort seine Eigenständigkeit, wo es nichts mehr erklären muss, sondern durch seine Präsenz wirkt.Nature, impressions from travelling and memories are starting points, not instructions for figurative representation. Colour carries atmosphere, temperature and movement. For me, a work becomes truly independent when it no longer needs to explain anything and speaks through its presence.

Caro Hirt lebt und arbeitet als zeitgenössische Künstlerin im Raum Stuttgart. Ihre Ausbildung zur Meistergoldschmiedin bildet eine wesentliche Grundlage ihres Verständnisses von Material, Oberfläche, Präzision und handwerklichem Prozess. Ergänzend studierte sie Betriebswirtschaftslehre. Die Verbindung von handwerklicher Erfahrung und freier Malerei prägt ihren eigenständigen Zugang zu Bildträgern und Materialien.Caro Hirt is a contemporary artist living and working in the Stuttgart region of Germany. Her training as a master goldsmith established a deep understanding of materials, surfaces, precision and craftsmanship. She also studied business administration. This combination of practical expertise and artistic freedom informs her distinctive approach to painting supports and materials.
Ihr Schwerpunkt ist abstrakte, intuitive und prozessorientierte Malerei, häufig in großformatigen Arbeiten. Sie verwendet Acryl und Öl auf Leinwand und Leinen und erweitert ihre Bildsprache durch Pigmente, Graphit, Pastell, Phosphor sowie Flüssigeisen und gezielte Oxidation. Naturbeobachtungen und Reiseeindrücke bilden Ausgangspunkte ihrer künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung. Die Arbeiten entstehen im Wechselspiel von bewusster Gestaltung, Materialreaktion und Offenheit für unerwartete Entwicklungen.Her practice focuses on abstract, intuitive and process-led painting, often on a large scale. She works in acrylic and oil on canvas and linen, incorporating pigments, graphite, pastel, phosphorescent pigments, liquid iron and controlled oxidation. Observations of nature and impressions from travel inform her work. Each painting develops through a dialogue between deliberate composition, material reactions and unexpected change.

Each artwork represented a different chapter about Brazil. Development of the exhibition concept and authorship of the English-language texts for an accompanying publication featuring 20 thematic chapters.
